For as long as I can remember, I’ve been on a mission to figure out why diets don’t work. The answers are as simple as they are complex. In my first book - Thrive, I explained why calories don’t count in the way we’ve been led to believe. And how the simple act of making food from scratch instead of relying completely on factory- processed foods is the keystone to becoming healthy and living a longer, happier life. What I’ve learned about nutrition and health while working with thousands of people over the past two decades is that there is so much more to living well and living healthily than avoiding entire food groups or fasting. Those who succeed in the long term develop the skills to feed not only their bodies, but also their minds and indeed their souls. And this is when ‘healthy’ becomes who you are and not something you strive to become.

It's my mission to help anyone who is weighed down by the confusion of what we are confronted with online and in the media about what to eat and how our food choices are impacting life on earth. The good news is that we can all make a positive difference, heal ourselves and feel great without going to extremes.
