Drinking water can be a challenge if its not your thing. Correctly infusing water with fruit oils will change the taste profile without adding acids, sugars or any undesirables and eep your water interesting.
You can drink these infused waters hot, cold, or carbonated.
The trick is to bring the water to a boil on the stove with the skins and spices to really pull out the flavours.
Ingredients
1 Litre filtered or mineral water
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Any of or a combination of the following ingredients:
Orange rind (just the rind, not the fruit)
Grapefruit rind (just the rind, not the fruit)
Lemon rind (just the rind, not the fruit)
Lime rind (just the rind, not the fruit)
Cardamom Pods
Cinnamon Sticks
Star Anise
Whole Cloves
Method
Bring the water to a boil on the stove.
Place your ingrenditens of choice in the boiling water and boil for 3 minutes, then turn off the heat and leave to steep for 30 minutes.
Strain off the rinds and spices before bottling.
Refrigerate once cooled to room temperature.
