Cauliflower Bread Sticks

These pizza pretenders are amazing little craving busters. Kids love them and they make amazing hors d'oeuvres.


  • 1 head cauliflower raw, broken into florets

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated

  • 1 tsp sea-salt

  • 1 Garlic clove, crushed

  • 1 Handful fresh parsley chopped

  • 1 Handful fresh basil, chopped

  • 1 TBSP fresh oregano, chopped

  • Freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 200℃

  2. Place the cauliflower in a high speed blender or food processor and pulse until it is the texture of rice.

  3. Place in a colander to drain any excess water. You can also purchase ready made cauli-rice from a number of food stores.

  4. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower and half the shredded Mozzarella.

  5. Then add most of the Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, herbs, salt, and black pepper until combined.

  6. Spread the mixture onto a baking tray that you have lined with greased baking paper.

  7. Bake for 12 minutes.

  8. Remove from oven and top with the remaining Mozzarella cheese.

  9. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese starts to brown.

  10. Cool for no more than 5 minutes - slice and serve warm.

  11. Garnish with fresh herbs and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
