Banana Chocolate Brownies

Its not often SUGAR and GLUTEN free anything tastes much like the real thing.

This is indeed the exception. Please make sure that when incorporating xylitol in any recipe to keep it well away from your pets. Xylitol is extremely toxic to animals.


3 Bananas

1/2 Cup sugar free nut butter

1/2 Cup hazelnuts or walnuts

1/4 Cup cocoa powder

3 whole eggs, separated

2 Scoops chocolate whey powder

1 tsp Salt

1/4 Cup xylitol syrup


Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and grease a small baking dish. 

Blend the bananas in your blender or food-processor. It is really important to have your bananas well and truly processed before adding any other ingredients as they act as the binder for the dry ingredients and prevent the brownies from drying out.

Melt nut butter in microwave for one minute on high.

Combine bananas, nuts, cocoa powder, whey powder, xylitol and egg yolks and nut butter in a food processor or blender and process until silky smooth and there is no dry ingredients.

Beat egg whites separately until soft peaks form.

Place the chocolate batter in a bowl and gradually fold in the egg whites.

Bake for 25 minutes. 

Try not to eat until completely cooled.
